Sequence of operations - The method of operation is simple. A set of measuring cups is rotated beneath a fill hopper and the cup is filled. As rotation continues, a hopper brush levels off the measuring cup. Rotation continues until the measuring cup is over the discharge hole, and the product is dispensed via gravity. The sizing of the cups is based upon the volume required to fill a specified weight. The density of the product is used to calculate the required volume for each fill size and the cup is sized accordingly. Telescoping cups are used to make minor adjustments required for changes in density.
